when can i have sex after my shot

i got my shot on the 10th. for the first time. 
if i have sex tomorrow (protected) will the shots method still work? im i not suppose to have sex after getting it for a week or something?

A week after I got my first shot, I had sex with my boyfriend and he came in me. Everytime we had sex after that he came in me, so I would safely wait the week or at least a few days so the shot can take effect

If you mean like the depo shot, you can have sex 24 hours later. But you should seriously reconsider why you're taking the shot. And your Gyno as well if they had no concerns prescribing it to you. I did for two years and completely regret it and all my gynos afterward and pharmacists don't recommend that only for certain specific last resort birth control.

You should always use protection...as you know, shots do not protect against STD's... Besides abstinence (God, I sound like a know it all asshole) condoms are the next best thing.... Use condoms
