Baby eczema help?

Question

Two months ago my son started getting eczema on his arms but it wasn't bad. Since then it has popped up on other parts of his body and has gotten a lot more severe. I asked his doctor about it several times but he just keeps telling me to moisturize. Does anyone have any tips to help? It doesn't seem to bother him at all but his skin is so red and rough at times :(

Sounds strange to say, but the only thing that helped my son was boudreauxs butt paste-- I just kept a separate tube for his body rather than the one used as diaper cream. I actually met the company owner while doing Hurricane Katrina relief work and he told me it was originally formulated for that kind of use, but it was easier to break into the baby ointment market and it works for both!

Baby Aveeno products are amazing for eczema. My daughter suffer from eczema, but it's appears only in the winter so I use Aveeno baby wash for every shower and once a week I put her on the water with Aveeno baby powder. Also I use Aveeno baby cream as needed when she itches. Hope it will help! Good luck

My son had eczema like that too. What worked for me is bathing every other day and slathering him with eucerin eczema cream (adult, there is also a baby one) every night before he went to sleep. Putting aquaphor all over his butt every diaper change. And changing laundry detergent to All free and clear, the scents in other baby detergents can be an irritant too. He had it all over his body though.

My son had a spot of it as a baby we used aveeno only for baths and eucerin cream for the spot. Eucerin works really well.

We only do baths a few times a week with no soap or gentle scent free soap. We also only use cetaphil or aquaphore moisturizer. My daughters eczema got better from changing her diet as well. She had a bad reaction to milk the first year and taking that out improved her skin a ton! She grew out of it luckily and was able to drink whole milk by her first birthday. She still gets break outs occasionally, usually in winter. We just make sure to moisturize daily and not take baths every day. Good luck!

My daughter has eczema. I have tried everything u can think of that's eczema related. Try using hypoallergenic products and always try keeping it moisturized. Nothing will cure it but making sure it's well taken care of can prevent severity on the skin. Some kids grow out of it so hopefully he will. Just do the best you can to keep it under control that's all you can do.

My oldest daughter had it bad when she was a baby. I used aveeno eczema lotion on her. Switched to fragrance free and dye free everything (detergent, soap, shampoo, even my own soap and lotion for skin to skin time). She will be 5 this April and has grown out of it.
