Ladyfriend?!

The guy I'm dating (not yet my official boyfriend though) refers to me as his lady friend to his family and friends. What's that suppose to mean?

Girlfriend basically. I'm from Louisiana and that's how we say it, or "My old lady" which is the same thing.

More than a friend, but not as serious as a girlfriend maybe? That's the way I see it.

My boyfriend of 1 year & 8 months refers to me as that to his friends & family, so I don't think it's a bad thing :)
