We had an appointment with the Maternal Fetal specialists today. We have a 7 year old who had a congenital heart defect that required open heart surgery when he was 7 days old. They tend to follow up closely because of prior birth history. I'm 37, and RH negative. My husband has a positive blood type. This caused our 18 month old daughter to have severe jaundice. Today the physician told me the baby has fluid around her heart and we will be scheduled for a fetal echo soon. Anyone have experience with this?
