Confused---Possible Chemical Pregnancy!

My last period ended 42 days ago. My husband I had decided to try for baby #1 and was doing everything we could. I stated feeling strange and considered that I might have been pregnant but all of the pregnancy tests I took were clearly negative! (I believe the total was 6 tests). A full week before my next period was supposed to start I had heavy bleeding like my normal period is at the beginning of it. That lasted 3 1/2 days and completely stopped!! (My periods have ALWAYS been 7 days). All of the pregnancy symptoms that I believed I had stopped too. So I believe that it could have been a chemical pregnancy. I have a doctors appointment scheduled but I could not get in any sooner to confirm the CP and now it is long gone. Now, I'm concerned because I still have not gotten a period and have no symptoms of it coming or of pregnancy. Feeling a bit down ands really confused with a touch of panic. Any ideas or similar issues?
