We found out our son has TGA or transposition of the great arteries when I was 23 weeks

Naturally I was devastated to know that it requires a big open heart surgery after he's born

Currently I'm 36 weeks and scheduled for an induction on the 29th of this month

The doctors have explained that we won't get to hold him after he's born

They have to take him immediately and hook him up and they might even have to do a small heart procedure then

I'm all emotional because I don't know how I'm going to handle seeing my son all hooked up to a million machines and especially after his surgery

I'm terrified but I'm still confident that he will be fine when all is said and done
