Is it okay for a baby to sleep in the crib right away?

Her crib is next to my bed but will she be okay to sleep in it when I come home from the hospital? I will be swaddling her and won't have any blankets or bumpers in the crib.

Yes! The crib is the safest place for your baby. Mine will be in his crib from day 1

I like the idea of a bassinet when she is tiny then transition to the crib after a month or couple months

Yes, she will be totally fine. Our little girl will be in her crib from day one. My husband works crazy hours and is a super light sleeper and I'm a realllly heavy sleeper (like friends would hit me to try and wake me up at sleep overs and I would budge heavy sleeper) so I just don't feel comfortable with her being in our bed and think my husband would be a zombie if she did. We'll have a twin mattress in her nursery so I may sleep I there if she needs company but your baby will be fine in the crib as well ☺️

I'm co sleeping with my baby right now. She will sleep in her crib once she's around 6 months. I've been told and read that co sleeping and/or having the baby sleep with you in the same room is a lower risk of SIDS.

My baby slept in his playpen and has ever since he came home other then the occaional sleeping with me when i was tired and wanted more sleep ( he slept longer with me then in bed) but its what your comfortable with you have to see what works best for you ☺️ hope you all the best
