Is it fair to feel grouchy or frustrated if your SO turns down sex often?

How regular is your sex life in all aspects to include pregnancy and when Flow visits?

I get grouchy when he turns me down because it makes me feel like I'm not wanted, which rationally I know is ridiculous, but I can't help but to feel that way in the moment. It doesn't happen often though, that I want it and he doesn't. Most of the time it's the other way around. If it happened all the time I might not get over it quickly.
