How to find the best Fertility Specialist
Hello community!
I have a handful of questions regarding assisted fertility:
1. At what point did you all decide to find a Fertility specialist? In my case, I know I have PCOS and so far I have tried one round of Clomid, all from my OB/GYN. I'm reluctant to keep with Clomid without finding a Fetility Specialist who can confirm my diagnoses and perhaps uncover anything else that I may have impeding my ability to get pregnant.
2. Who are the best Fertility Specialists in California? I live in the Bay Area and am originally from Southern California, so I'm willing to travel within CA to the best doctor with the highest success rates.
3. As I mentioned, I have PCOS but with none of the obvious symptoms (I'm not overweight, no acne or rough patches of skin, etc.) I am highly gluten intolerant/celiac and am wondering if there are others with the same profile who have PCOS.
For context, I'm about to turn 32 and was on birth control from 18 to 30.5, when I went off to try to get pregnant with my husband. It turns out that I can go 3+ months with no period and I eventually got fed up peeing on ovulation sticks because even with the smiley face, I still haven't gotten pregnant and I've been trying for over a year. Now I'm having sex every other day in the hopes I won't have to do IVF, but I realize I most likely need to find a Fertility Specialist.
I am forever grateful for any advice from those of you also dealing with similar issues. Thank you!
