I need to vent!

I am taking a race, crime, & punishment class. However, I am so annoyed because they are doing a whole African American segment for black history month. Now let me first off say I am in NO WAY preduice against ANY race. I do believe in equality. What pisses me off though is WHY is everything focused on African Americans?!? This class runs from Jan 25th-March 11th & pretty much the whole class will be African American. I get that there was a lot of shit that happened to African Americans & it is good that we learn about it but this is the same shit I've been learning since I was 9. Please either stop or get a new curriculum! I also don't care about the Ferguson stuff. It's done, it's over, please let that shit go. Ugh! Vent over, now back to homework.
