Help please!?!

I just had a d&c on the 11th and I haven't had heavy bleeding until right now, ive also just passed 3 golf ball sized clots and am having intense pains in my stomach and pelvic area. My hospital and Doctor explained nothing about this.. All they said was I would have some bleeding like a period or lighter for up to 2 weeks after.. Is this normal or do I need to go to the ER now?!
