My first miscarriage.

So I went to the ER in the early AMs yesterday because I had some terrible bleeding. The doctor assured me everything was fine and sent me home. I later woke in the early AMs today just to find I was gushing blood and clots ( AKA the start of my miscarriage) this has been the most horrible pain I have ever felt, not just physically but emotionally as well! For all you other ladies out there who have also unfortunately had a miscarriage, how long did the pain last?
