Voter ID laws are bullshit and racist. If legislators want voters to have an ID in their state, they need to make it possible to get an ID. If they think it's so "common sense" then do the research to find out how many voter don't have ID. Keep the voter registration offices open for more than a few hours a week...  I wish these asshole would stop veiling this as "common sense" and call it what it is, racist, ageist, bullshit. These states are alienating voters, particularly minorities. If you want this law make sure you do your research as to who has ID, who doesn't, and that it's possible to get one.  God I hate republicans...
