Should I start having sex the week after miscarriage since bleeding has stopped?

I just got off the phone with my doctor and she said that if the bleeding has stopped that I could have protected sex and after levels are at zero, I could stop using protection. I thought I had to wait 2 weeks to insert anything into vagina. My miscarriage was last week and it would only be a week. Should I trust this doctor?

Wait till your levels get to zero. They want to make sure you level out and if you do get pregnant really soon they can tell it's a new pregnancy. If you had an early miscarriage your levels will drop pretty quick. So sorry for your loss! I've had two:/ I started to miscarry in May and stopped bleeding in June and got pregnant again in July. My levels reached zero by mid June. So when I called about a new pregnancy they knew it was a new on. And now have a healthy 10 month old:)
