After tons of research and trial and error with the baby i nanny (after moms approval lol) i found what works for us hopefully when baby arrives..
After looking at alll the fancy new century aio and ai2 pockets etc.. I found that going old school with large flour sack towels tri folded and oragamied and covers work the best... Prefolds weren't versatile enough but ill keep my inserts and prefolds as extra support for naps and sleeps.. But i have perfected a fold that can last 3-4 hours for a 20 pounder... I had my doubts with just cotton but I'm thoroughly impressed with the cheap option... My grandmother and mil used flats on their kids and said there's nothing wrong with simple....
Just thought Id throw it out there as I know in the beginning of my trial and error, i thought three pricey bumgeniuses, rumparooz, thirsties etc were the best.... Kawaii and alva covers and floor sacks are working for us! :)
