10 days late! Has anyone missed a period then started Normal on the next month??

Has anyone missed a period and got one as ususual the next month?  So I'm  10 days late and still getting BFN I went to see the doctor I told her the most recent test I took was yesturday and it was negative she just looked at me blankly and said sometimes we just miss periods and I should get my next period as normal ... She didn't offer any help or advice and I was in and out of that room with in a minute!
