Sex 5 days after birth?

I wasn't the one for sex last few weeks of pregnancy so it's been about 3/4 weeks since I've had sex. But last night my sex drive was through the roof! I wanted too but though am I allowed too? I know your suppose to wait 6 weeks but I can't go that long, bleeding isn't heavy I had 3/4 stitches that are healing nicely, any advice?

It has been 5 days... I'd at least wait the 2 week minimum for your stitches to heal. I would never want to even risk breaking my stitches open no matter how much I want sex. Not worth the pain nor possible infection that could come.

Nothing inserted for 6 weeks. You basically have a giant wound inside your uterus that your body is trying to heal. Wounds need to be kept free of bacteria in order to heal cleanly. External stimulation should be fine though.

You're going to risk hurting your recovery with the stitches. Also, if you do it while you're still bleeding you're opening yourself up to an infection.

We waited 4 weeks (it was after the bleeding ended) and I only had one stitch (which had dissolved) and it was still pretty painful the first time.

I would highly suggest waiting longer than 5 days. Your body needs to heal to avoid infection. I waited 8 weeks and it hurt and I had only one stitch. Sex was uncomfortable for me so I can't imagine doing the deed after only 5 days.... Your cervix isnt closed yet.

We did at 3 weeks. I just waited for my stitches to heal and my bleeding to stop. Apparently you are meant to wait for the bleeding to stop just to reduce the chances of infection 👍🏼 but hey, you gotta do what ya gotta do! 😆
