Is saying "I know" to your boss unprofessional?
Okay, here's the thing. I'm 20, just started working at a bank and have job history of customer service at every other job I've had. My manager is not liked by anyone in my branch and everyone says it should be easy for me to deal with her because I'm new and it's basically what I'm used to because I haven't been there for anything else.. But I'm so sick of her!!!!!!!!!! I can't deal with her anymore.
Heres the situation: My manager and I were having a little talk that she seems to feel the need to always have with me and it was brought up to do something that I said I would do the day before to someone from the business department. Basically had to put a note on my desk to remind myself to do something, okay. So when my manager reminded me to do it I said "Oh yeah, I know" and then she walks away from me and comes back saying how saying "I know" to your boss is not professional and how she would never say that to her boss because it's not okay. Wtf, all I was saying was I know. Seriously?
I just need to know if I really am "unprofessional" and should go back to waitressing or if it really was that bad. Help!!! I'm going crazy.
