How long does your baby nurse for?

I'm curious - how long is your newborn nursing for? My little guy averages between 10-14 min on each breast. When he hits the lower end that seems pretty short to me but he won't take after that.

What should I be aiming for (understanding all babies are different)?

Mine is about the same. Some babies are better suckers than others, so it takes them less. If they are gaining weight and peeing/pooping adequately then no reason to worry. I find that when mom's start worrying and trying to get their babies to nurse how they think they should that's when problems start happening. You're doing great!

Depends on the combo of baby eagerness and mom's let down reflex. My best friend has a very forceful let down right away and sometimes only nurses 15-20 min total. I've always have had to nurse 15 min each side as I have a bit delayed let down and not as much volume as my friend does each time. Look into formilk and hindmilk. Want to make sure your baby is on long enough to get the hindmilk.

My girl usually does every three hours about 15 min on each, other times just one boob for   About 20 min!

Mine goes the same :) but I think he may be going through a growth spurt. It's been more frequent

Mine feeds the same about 10-15 mins on each side every 2-3hrs sometimes 4 hrs

That seems normal mine feeds for about the same time. Their stomachs are very small yet 😀
