You can get a french manuicure without the tips.

I personally love getting acrylic tips to make my nails longer. They will trim them to whatever size you want and shape them. I always get the gel on top and they last about 2/3 weeks plus. Then you can get the gel removed and a color change and still have longer nails. They also do the powder nail ''polish '' too, i cant think of what its called though.

you need to tell them if you want gel nails or acrylic nails, and the  they will ask what colour tips you want, after they done you can chose a colour to finish or leave plain.

Unless you specifically tell them you want acrylic tips with a French manicure then all they're going to do is give you a French manicure on your regular nails
