Is it okay for you boyfriend to be friends with opposite sex?

What are yalls opinions about your significant other being friends with another girl? I have major trust issues and I need help overcoming them!!!

I'm completely fine with it. We've been together for 4 years now and have complete trust. We have an agreement that we can still have our own friends of the opposite sex so long as we have met them and feel comfortable with them. If we don't, then either we stop talking to them, or hang out with them together.

If they're friends before, yeah. I'm not comfortable with exes or girls he's slept with previously though. Or even girls who he randomly begins talking to. No need for that, just causes problem. Not even worth it

My hubby has several friends that are girls and I have no problem with it, they were friends before I even knew him now if it was new I would definitely want to know her as well  efore they started spending time together. But I trust my hubby and him and his friends can go out and I don't worry about what he does cuz I love and trust him.

I have the same issue with my boyfriend. I'm not okay with it. You can associates but FRIENDS, no. Unless female has a man & you guys go out together as couples. But one on one personal friendship.

You should be okay with your SO spending time with other people, regardless of gender. The only reason that should change is if you feel like you don't trust their friend, then confide in your boyfriend. Saying they can't spend one on one time with someone of the opposite gender is controlling, and untrustworthy.

It's all about trust you can't have a relationship without it. I have been cheated on too, many times but I trust him. His best friend is a female and she's super pretty. He goes and hangs out with her all the time. Goes out with her and her family, I don't care I know he loves me and is not like men from my past.

I just feel hopeless. I've been cheated on before and I seen it happen with my parents multiple times. Not only that. In my past I cheated on someone and it was the worst mistake I could ever make and I regret it. But I also know how easy it was to cheat so now I'm worried constantly like what is he doing and who is he talking to. We've been together for over a year and he completely trust me. But I for the other hand have these trust issues that make me go crazy. I wanna trust him but when I start and I get all these thought well what if that other girl is prettier than me and what not. I just don't know what to do please help
