36 weeks and 1 day, but baby boy is measuring at 39 weeks, I'm also 1.5cm dilated. Doctor says I can safely deliver at any time, however the hospital won't keep me until I'm 4cm dilated. Any ideas on how I can move things along quicker??

Stay pregnant until baby is ready. 36 weeks is too early, those babies have a hard time breathing, maintaining their temperature, and their blood sugar. I'm a labor and delivery nurse, I see it happen all of the time. Just let him cook another two weeks please.

I agree with rose (ps I work in OB). Once you get closer, take long walks, have sex, eat very acidic and spicy foods. All things that have been shown to work many times.

I personally would wait until I was 38 weeks. The baby might be the size of a 39 week baby but that does not mean his lungs are developed like a 39 week baby. All my kids measured bigger but the first 2 were still over due. Let your baby grow in your belly, much safer!!

I'm 37 weeks and 2 days butt because I'm only 1 cm dilated they won't keep me. Contractions are kicking my butt.

I know its uncompfortable but try to hold off and wait till least your water breaks than you know its time he's ready to join u. Don't try to early. Hes not ready yet.
