Just wanted everyone's opinion on this subject. I have a 6 year old who has lived with me full time since she was 2. Her dad has been inconsistent with paying child support and only sees her every other weekend since he moved out of state. For the past few months, he's been consistent with seeing her and paying because it's taken out of his check. He thinks we need to go every other year when claiming taxes on our daughter. If he was more involved then I'd have no issues with it but I personally think he doesn't do enough for her to claim her.
