Was at my monthly check up and I'm 18 weeks.  My doctor asked if I wanted the quad screen blood test for abnormalities and I turned it down.  I did it with my two previous pregnancies but this is the first doctor that gave me the option.  She said she doesn't prefer to run the test automatically so she asks patients and leaves it up to them.  There are so many false positives that cause unwanted stress.  I go for my level 2 ultrasound March 7th and if they see anything abnormal we can do further testing.  I'm still nervous though...
