Period or pregnant

Hi all im new to this but wondering if anyone can help. Me and my partner have been ttc for around 6 months now. This past couple of weeks my hands and feet keep swelling and I've got what seems like a period but really light and has lasted almost a week. What I'm wondering is could u be pregnant and this be implantation bleeding? I've took a test it says negative.

Should I see the doc about the swelling?

Can I also add ice had horrific pains in my right side just under my ribs xx
