can you tell how/what position your baby is laying?

Hey moms! Can you tell what position your baby is laying based on where you feel the kicks?? I feel simultaneous movement in my left and right side of pelvis - does this mean the baby is laying sideways/transverse?

I mostly feel kicks on my right side and what i assume are elbow jabs in the middle/left side.  My baby is laying across my belly. I asked my ob last week to make sure.  This is my third, and my ob said that is normal for third babies to do.

Yep mine is transverse and can feel him on the left and right side with an occasional hand around my pelvis haha

Not necessarily. Mine is head down. Which means butt up. With butt up and legs stretched it can feel like they are transverse.

Probably. I'm pretty sure mine is sideways at the moment.
