Best time for the 4D ultrasound ?

Right now I'm 12 weeks & 5 days. I'll be 14 weeks at my next a appointment & im wondering if they can't tell me the gender by then should I set up an appointment to get a 4D? I'm getting married March 26th (been engaged over a year & planned) and I want to tell everyone that day. Help!

We just had a 2d gender US done today at 13 weeks and they told with 100% certainty that it was a boy (there was absolutely no mistaking that for a girl lol) they told us the earliest we can do is 12 wks but they prefer 13/14 wks

If you just want to know the gender, you can find out with just a 2D ultrasound as early as 13 weeks. Not sure when the best time for a 4D ultrasound is. Some elective ultrasound places to packages which sometimes include multiple visits, so you could do a gender session now, and a 4D session when you're further along.

I went and got my gender ultrasound at 15 weeks. The place I went to will do them as early as 14 weeks. The tech told me the best time to do 4D ultrasound is around 28 weeks
