Non-estrogen birth control?

I am already genetically high risk for stroke and was put on an estrogen birth control over six years ago which only made my migraines worse.  I have been without birth control for just over three years with one of those years being without a period from the rebound of stopping birth control.  
Does anyone have any suggestions for non-estrogen bc that won't stop my monthly period and isn't medically inserted into my body?

I'm not sure if by medically you mean like something that's not easily removed? Options without estrogen include: the shot, mini pill, nexplanon, iuds, diaphragms, cervical caps, sponge, spermicides, female and male condoms, or fertility awareness methods.

Only the minipill, and even that doesn't fit your criteria because you may or may not be regular on it. And by regular, i mean your body might remain on the same schedule it currently does, or it may develop a new longer or shorter regularity. I went from once every 28 days, to once every 3mo. And my cycles stayed a steady once every 3mo until about 30yrs old.

The only forms that will give you a monthly period have estrogen in them (the patch, combo pill, and ring), although I know that some people report that they keep a regular period on the copper IUD, though it might be a bit heavier.

The only form that isn't inserted in your body is the mini pill.

So unfortunately there isn't a type of  birth control that fits your needs. I would suggest going to your doctor to talk about it and see what they suggest.

The only one i could think of is the mini pill it doesn't contain estrogen but it can make your cycles unpredictable
