Not ovulating but still having a period??

Question

Is it possible to have a normal period and not ovulate? If so, can someone please explain what happens...and ways to start ovulation again after coming off the pill??

My friend has periods but almost never ovulates but that's because she has premature ovarian failure so she isn't producing eggs and if she does it's not good quality/healthy eggs. Sooo if you just got off the pill I would assume it takes a while for all your hormones to get back to normal on their own. If it's been awhile I would talk to your doctor. They will be able to help the best
