Treat yourself

I'm a FTM and wanted to know Do you mommies still buy things for yourself here and there? I ask because tonight I bought me a few things (purse jewelry and shoes) for myself (I bought my baby boy some stuff as well!) and decided to share with my friends and my Bestfriend hit me with a "do you really need heels with a baby in you, I would be buying my baby everything, you need your priorities straight" and I'm just like wow. I have them more then straight. Great paying job, I get paid weekly, I have my own car, I'm still with his dad, bills paid on time, apartment, baby has his own room etc. The crib is being ordered and I already have the travel system. My baby shower is next Sunday too. It just made me mad that she said that because I felt like she was basically saying I wasn't going to be a good mom. She apologize for what she said but I'm still like 🙄 it hurt my feelings. I've been pregnant for 8 months and growing out of all my clothes and not feeling so great about myself and when I go buy a little something for myself I look bad. I just needed to vent.
