I am 18 years old and I know that I am ready to have sex. However I am a virgin. My virginity is sacred to me and I decided the only way I would lose my virginity in high school was if it was super cliche--prom night. My boyfriend last year, who I am now friends with (and occasionally have benefits with) knew about this. I asked him to prom, because even though we're not publicly together at all (which is fine) I still think he's the one I'd like to give my virginity to. I care a lot about him, he's usually very sweet, I'm the most comfortable with him. However I'm not in love with him. Also when I asked him to prom, twice, he turned me down...twice. But the second time he said he doesn't want a date, but he still wants the sex. However, I know that if he doesn't take me as his date I for sure am not having sex with him.
