Can you get a BFN one day and the next day get a BFP?

I did, I got a BFN for like 1 week, than all the sudden one Friday night when my family was over I took one and got a BFP. Well I didn't believe it so I took 1 more than in the morning of Monday this week I took another one and got a BFP & it was confirmed by the doctors that I am pregnant & my appointment is Monday. 😊

Sorry if this is a stupid question. But what does BFN and BFP stand for? Still learning abbreviations on here.
