Just me that thinks 12 weeks is a long time to wait?

Anything could be going on in there and you're kept in the dark! I feel like I can't get excited :(

Also, you could have an ultrasound every weeks and there is still nothing they can do to stop anything from happening. I have had 3 miscarriages,  which makes me one of the "lucky ones" that's gets early ultrasounds. But they don't stop the worrying, and all the docs say after them is "Your still very early, if we can get you past 12-14 weeks that will be a good sign. Honestly, I would love to be one of those moms that docs don't fuss over, but I remember my first pregnancy and I remember feeling cheated as well.

Unless you have a history of miscarriage or you are getting pregnant with a fertility clinic, your OB won't do a sono any sooner than 10-12 weeks. I know it's hard to wait!!

I hate this too!!! Why do I have to wait til 8 weeks just to see the nurse practitioner at the ob/gyn clinic and 12 weeks to see the MD!!! Plus I am 36 and miscarried twice before, I want to be seen sooner!

I've had three miscarriages, so I've been on the fence of telling my partner that I think I'm pregnant.  Got a positive today and now I'm more afraid than ever.  I feel like if I say something to him and he is happy, it'll end up being another miscarriage...
