It doesn't matter. Negative or positive it is invalid.

Any line which appears after the time frame risks being an evaporation line, rather than a positive. I looked at a negative test about 4 hours after I took it and a very very faint line had appeared. I went and bought a frer and turned out to be pregnant. But there is no way of telling whether the first line was an evap or a the anti body strip. Lots of other people have seen lines hours later, but were not pregnant. So lines which appear later should never be trusted.
