Does this make me vain?

Question

I plan on packing a makeup bag in my hospital bag... I definitely don't want to look dry and half dead during labor or after... My husband plans on taking a lot of pictures during labor and after delivery...  What are your thoughts???

This makes me laugh I actually work in my ob's office and I keep telling all the co workers if I go into labor or my water breaks at work no one call an ambulance, I plan to go home shower do my hair and make up, and eat a something, before heading to the hospital!!

I don't think it's vein, I'd love to be able to put some on but I just don't think it'll stay on or that I'll care in the moment as I'm doing labor and delivery naturally so yeah.... Not sure I'll care!!

I don't think it makes you vain. But if you find the energy in between contractions and pain to apply then go for it. But make sure it's water proof. You might cry a lot and sweat and all that work might streak.

HA HA I WAS GONNA DO THIS!!! Lol, my son was my first and I really didn't want to look exhausted etc but we didn't take pictures much and I slept a lot and posted on Facebook when I got bored. Had 0 energy to do anything else. So more power to ya if you can

i take shower before go to hospital made my hair curler and make up put a beutifull dress and walk like noting happend when in the hospital a lot hours labor destroid make up but when the moment is coming try to put a little more make up if its posible is not i do in the room next to delivery before go to my room and take pictures i try to stay beautyfull at room to resive my visit like noting happend

Not vain at all! Its a special day! I dolled up for my wedding, I will for the birth of my first child. Its a special day, once in a lifetime thing. You'll never have that same birthing experience again, I'd like to feel my most beautiful looking back at photos, rather than not attractive.

I wouldn't imagine not packing a makeup bag! I gave birth to my first a night after work and still had on jewelry and makeup and everything through birth. The next day I showered and fixed my hair and makeup for the day and those that would come see us.

I've worn makeup for both of my deliveries. I wanted to at least try to look as decent as possible haha.
