Idk where you live so I obviously don't know the laws there. But I think that would be fine from a legal aspect since you guys are both considered minors. I think where I live the age of consent for sex is 16. So say you are about to turn 18 and he just recently turned 15, then that could possibly become an issue as far as the law goes. That might be something you want to consider in case one of his parents doesn't approve of the relationship or something then you could possibly find yourself in some trouble.

15/17 is weird to me just because of how close 17 is to 18 and 15 is even able to consent.

Gender isn't a problem, and age may not be a problem either but I always say be mindful about age differences as a teenager. It may only be two years but due to how fast teens grow, that can make quite a significant differences in maturity and expectations for a relationship among many other things. Be conscious of it. If he's not your age he may not have the expectations or wants of someone your age, or be prepared to be as committed as someone your age for example.

If you're okay with it, go for it. My personal preference is I won't date younger guys. Hence the reason I'm married to someone 6 years older than me lol. Yet my sister is dating a guy 5 years younger than her. So its really up to you. No matter what you'll get some type of critic. But in the end its your life.
