Period while pregnant..?

I've heard of this a couple times where a woman will have a normal period and take a test just because and gave it come back positive.. How is this possible!? How would you know you're pregnant if you continue to have a period?

Not sure how or why this happens but I was wondering the same thing. My aunt, mom and cousin (all related) had a "period" or period like situation that lasted as long as their normal periods while they were pregnant. My moms and aunts only lasted a few months but my cousin had hers up until her 8th month and still had a healthy baby and pregnancy.

Ive been reading a little bit about this an it comes from hormonal imbalance.  People who suffer with things such as PCOS can have undetected pregnancies it's know as a cryptic or stealth pregnancy. The are much more common then you think. Some women get to 20 weeks before they find out its becomes the hgc is not detected by a hpt or even at the doctors for a period of time. Some women make it full term and have no idea until they are in the hospital in labour. It's scarily common
