Faith, Prayer and Pregnancy after several losses...
**This post is not posted to be criticized by unbelievers...however, I am prepared for it. I am in no way forcing my views or ideas but rather sharing my faith and what got me through a tough time.**
I have two children from a previous relationship and my husband did not have any children. We were pregnant twice within a year and lost both babies (9wks but stopped growing at 6wks and 4wks). I got pregnant immediately after the last loss and it was totally unexpected! Based on our history I feared the worst and it consumed me. Every trip to the restroom brought about a fear that I cant/don't want to put into words...not knowing if when I wipe or look down in the toilet that I would see blood. Every cramp or pain I felt made my heart sink..I totally submitted to God's will knowing that He did not call me to live in fear but in expectancy! I got my fire back and decided that instead of fear I would have faith, speak faith and walk faith!
Just thought I'd share the prayer that I prayed over my baby (belly/womb) when I found out I was pregnant for the 3rd time after 2 losses. I am now 18wks today. I hope that it blesses you!!
Prayer
"Your word declares that you are the author and finisher of our faith; Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end. You are omnipotent, omniscient..omnipresent! You are infinitely powerful and able to do all things, fully aware of everything, knowledgable of all things and everywhere at the same time. Your word says that all things have been created by and for you. You are before all things and in YOU, ALL things hold together.
Today I ask that your precious gift of life be on and in me providing everything that this gift within me and my body need to bring forth life for the glory of God. I stand on YOUR word, YOUR covenant and YOUR promise; your goodness and boundless mercy that this child will be whole, healthy, fully functioning, intelligent and committed follower of you and your word. The past, my history and previous medical experiences have no bearing on what YOU have chosen to do within my womb presently! YOU have called ME to bring forth LIFE in THIS season!! I bind the hand of the enemy both seen and unseen and ANY spoken word, thought or deed that may attempt to come against my life or the life that you have placed inside of me! I declare that we are covered in your precious blood and any plans or plots of the enemy are dissolved and completely foiled! As a joint heir to the Kingdom and speaking only by the power given to me by MY Father, this baby will not only live but thrive by YOUR GRACE! I decree and declare that my life and the life that YOU placed within me will bring glory and honor to you and you only. In Jesus' name. Amen!"
