Hospital trip last Monday
So I'm only 4 mos in ttc my 2nd. But I want to share an interesting day I had.
So on Monday I went to work as per usual. I felt fine. Woke up a touch fatigued but that's normal for me. Had a headache too. Figured it was the weather change. Nothing to cause me worry.
Two hours into my shift, out of nowhere I got very very weak (the 4lb piece of meat I was holding nearly dropped) and my head began to Spin. I got very hot and felt like I was sweating bullets. I couldn't stand. When I got assistance, they said I felt cold and clammy. I was helped to a more private area and told to sit. Soon after (while ems was on the phone) they told me to go from sitting in the chair to laying on floor. My legs gave out. Time went by and paramedics showed up and had me do some tests. They sat me up and I dropped 30points in my blood pressure but my heart rate spiked.
The first thing they asked me: "how old are you?"
The second thing they asked me: "are you pregnant?"
My stomach flipped. But a smile crossed my lips.
"I don't think so."
They asked if I had any children and if they were an "easy" birth. I told them about my complications with my son.
So they wheeled me away.
Several hours later I'm in the hospital waiting on a pt they did on me.
Not pregnant. Damn.
But that would have been quite a a way to find out!
However, I won't count myself out yet. Since then I've had constipation, headaches, fatigue, sore breasts, nausea and wicked gas. Could be nothing. But as my period only ended 2 weeks ago maybe 2.5 I could still be very well pregnant. Maybe it's too early to tell. Maybe I'm getting my hopes up like I have a habit of doing.
They said it was pure stress...
But don't count me out yet! This story may still end with a baby!
