The stigma surrounding young mothers
I'm 21, I'm married, we have 4 kids and pregnant with our 5th. My husband has a child from a previous relationship and we have 4 together. I had my first two back to back, and my third and fourth back to back.
I was talking with older women about having to have a C-section this time and how I said I didnt want one. They were all condescending and referred to my age as an issue. "Why wouldn't you want what's best for you and your baby? It must be because you're young and dont know any better!"
I was seriously annoyed. I've had 3 healthy deliveries, raised 4 children, I'm pretty sure I know what's best. Its not that I didn't want what's best, I just don't trust the heavy handed drs who push C-sections.
I will do all of the research possible before I uknowingly give up and allow a c section when I've delivered naturally 3 other times.
