A friend of mine, a white woman, recently posted this on Facebook and I don't really know how I feel about it. It makes me kind of uncomfortable and I can't decide why. Maybe it's because personally I couldn't see myself limiting my dating or marrying choices based on race and I think that in general race shouldn't be a deciding factor in who you end up with. Or maybe it's because the message, while well intended, kind of strikes me as implying that a black man doesn't know his own worth unless a white woman loves him and the white woman is some kind of savior. I don't know, what do you guys think?
