Should I fast before the 1 hour glucose test?

I was going to take my one hour test first thing on Saturday morning (7am). Should I fast?

Only if your Dr says to. Totally depends on how they're going to read the test. Call and find out if you need to fast or not.

Fasting is best since you're going super early but if you're going to eat something, only eat like an egg

My doctor told me to just eat normal for that day so I had lunch about an hour before my test and failed by 4 points. Mentioned what happened to the two nurses teaching my childbirth class and they said I should have not eaten lunch. Had my 3 hour and past no problem.

Mine said technically it is better to fast, but I didn't have to. She just said a lot of women have a hard time tolerating something so sugary on an empty stomach. I ended up fasting and my stomach was fine, but I had a headache for a good few hours after bc of the massive sugar rush.

They want to see how you eat normally. So no fasting.

All docs are different, call your office and they will tell u what to do. Mine said to eat regular during the day before I come in for my test...
