Insomnia affecting daily life

Shelby
Hi, I know insomnia is a big thing during pregnancy, but I thought it was more towards the end when you're big and uncomfortable. I'm only 10 weeks and have had insomnia this last week! I'm not normally one to complain but it's causing me to drag at work around 10 am pretty bad and I have a physical job so I need to be awake! Any suggestions on something I can do to help me sleep? I'm not into taking meds, though I do use essential oils and those aren't helping right now! I go to sleep around ten at night but since the insomnia has started I've been wide awake when it's time to sleep! And then I randomly wake up wide awake again in the middle of the night. Help!

Tart cherry juice? Maybe some warm milk to help fall back asleep? I have a hard time sleeping to and so I will get out of bed for 30-60 min and then open my window to help also. Not sure why but an open window does the trick most nights.

I only started the whole getting up because I would lay in bed for 6 hours awake anyways so I did not have much to lose

I'm afraid that if I get out of bed I'll be awake longer but an open window sounds like a good idea!
