Pelvic disorder

KathyRae
Today I was diagnosed with spd it's horrible, never have I felt so much pain in my life. I cannot walk, turn move or even lift my legs without severe pain. I'm on temporary bed rest and emergency PT on top of that my doctor is making me when I need to walk to walk with a walker. I love my son but this pregnancy has been hell. I was wondering if anyone else has had this pain and if it goes away?

I've had severe pain for 6 days now. It hurts when I stand from sittin for a while. Also when turning in bed. It hurts when I start walking (after sitting) but after a few minutes of walking, I'm sort of OK again. Is this similar to what you have? Just wondering if this pain is normal.

That's what I had (described by KathyRae). I was told to start wearing a maternity belt, and also to try lifting my belly up when I go from sitting to standing. I've also been trying to work on strengthening my pelvic floor, so it's getting much better, just flares up now and again. Definitely not the pain some of these other moms described. Prayers to all!!!

No honestly walking makes it so bad. I went to a work party walked for just an hour woke up the next day couldn't move my legs at all. My doctor says she can see how swollen my groin on both sides of my area are. Every day it gets worse. It's horrible

Yepo ive have spd since 11weeks. If i said i was over it i wouldn't be lying. I currently am strapped 5 days a week and wear a pelvic brace + weekly visits to the physio. Agony some days doesn't describe the pain. Im a community nurse so am constantly up and down in and out of cars, i will be stopping work at 30 weeks but everyday gets Soo much more difficult, hardest thing is talking about it and describing something that is so hard to put into words. Sending love and heatpacks to all.

I'm struggling with it too. Rolling in bed, opening and closing my legs, and walking are all painful. Short strides with slightly turned in toes seems to help, but I really can't afford bed rest so I'll make it 7 more weeks.

I cannot afford best rest either but I'm high risk because I'm also epileptic and they are worried the pin could trigger a seizure :(

I've had the same pain for almost 2 weeks. Just got home from the chiropractor, I'm hopping it helps relieve some pain. Also Tylenol seems to take the edge off along with heating pad and ice packs. Some days are worse than others...

My pain is mostly if I sit or stand too long, or try bending too much. It's where my right hip meets my back. Sunday I literally felt like if I moved I was going to break. It hurt so bad I was in tears. 😖

I think I have this, but I haven't talked to my Dr yet since my appt isn't until next Thursday, but last Friday I woke up and was in so much pain in my pelvis I could barely walk, I was in pain all day, at night I took a hot/warm bath and took some Tylenol before going to bed it helped ease the pain enough to go to sleep...I'm still hurting but if I'm resting and not walking so much its not too bad, but I do take Tylenol every night before bed because by the time the day is over I'm in a lot of pain again...I had this with my last daughter although it was never diagnosed as SPD, and it didn't come this early on...just try and take your days slow and if you can rest as much as possible, we are more than half way through and hopefully time will be flying by for us....
