Do you/Are you going to curse around your children? (Infants, toddlers, children)

I wanna say no but you know sometimes things just slip. Its hard especially when they are in the copy cat phase (my boy now) but ifnit does slip and they say it you gotta make sure you let them.know its a bad word and that its not.okay to use.

My husband and I swear a lot. Our son is 3.5 years old and he is picking up words. We are trying to watch what we say but we do still slip. I feel bad because we say ba word ad he repeats them then we tell him he can't say those words. His little brain is probably thinking, if mommy says it why can't I say it. 😔 we are really working on it. He starts preschool at a local Lutheran church (because it's a wonderful school) in August and the last thing I need is for him to make a mistake at school and yell out oh shit!

I swear in front of my daughter she is two and half she has said a few bad words but I tell her not to say them cuz there bad and she says oh I sorry even if I stopped other people cuss in the world including tv

I've gotten very creative ever since becoming a mom lol yes sometimes bad words slip out but she's 3 and so far hasn't said any bad words  now my husband on the other hand.... He cusses a ton while playing video games but thankfully usually she's in bed by then.

With my son i was of the mind "do as i say not as i do".  It didnt work when 5k rolled around it was a bit of a nightmare not only is he autistic but he came to school knowing words he shouldn't.  I mean when he asks why and i say only adults it just kind of became a challenge when he asked what those words meant like shit....he was confused why he couldn't talk about poop like that or when i said bitch why he couldn't call the female dog in the book that?  It just became so confusing to him and frustrating which we did not need more of! 
Yeh he heard the words on TV when WE were watching something but once we started leading by example it seemed to help.  We as parents are the main influence so if we didnt do it he didnt want to.  
Or when he heard the words at school AND they will he would come home and tell us instead of repeating it at school and we could explain what it meant and why it was bad.
Do we still let things slip hell yes!  But its easier now.  And with #2 on the way the path is a little more clear and i am thankful older brother won't be saying bad words either.

I have a bad potty mouth. I'm never around kids nor do I care to be (I am going to love my own like nobody's business but I'm not a kid person). When he's old enough to start repeating things back I may talk to him and let him know that only adults use those words and they aren't meant for kids. Then I will tell him funny words he can say. Maybe like fart or something. Haven't gotten that far yet
