Blood test?

Hi all... TTC #1 and just got my first bfp! :) does everyone get blood tests done? I just called my OBGYN and they just scheduled me for an 8 week ultrasound in a few weeks. Based on people's posts it sounds like most get blood tests too? Is this done before the ultrasound?

You don't need a blood test if you had a clear positive on a urine test. Just go about your life until your ultrasound

I only got a blood test because I got a negative result and then got a positive one a week later
