Clomid

Alexis
Hello everyone! My husband and I have been trying to conceive for a little over a year. We recently had all our testing done (ei: lab work, hsg, ultrasound, semen analysis etc) and heard positive news that everything came back normal which we are very excited about. Our specialist indicated that if we want to move forward with any treatment, we may want to try clomid, trigger shot, IUI, then progesterone. We are ready to take this next step; however our insurance currently does not cover any treatment. It will cover treatment beginning in June with a new insurance we will have. In the meantime, has anyone ever done simply Clomid with no monitoring or Clomid with monitoring and been successful? I was thinking of going on Clomid for next cycle alone but have researched this and heard of many mixed reviews. I have also heard that Clomid can possibly create multiples but isn't there a greater chance for multiples with most of the treatments out there? My reproductive endocrinologist will not prescribe Clomid without monitoring. So I would end up getting the Clomid through my regular on/gyn. I'm on the fence about it and hoping to get a fresh perspective! Thanks!
