Alysena and alesse???

Is alysena and alesse birth control 28 day pack the same thing?? Cause today my doctor just switched me to alesse from alysena and i dont know why. I read that alysena might have been recalled?? Im confused :P

I'm supposed to be on allesse but I received avian instead. Doc says they're the same type of hormones just with a different brand name. Sometimes your pharmacy doesn't have what you need in stock so the have to substitute. Kinda like nestle chocolate chip cookies versus great value chocolate chip cookies. Same ingredients different brand:) I'm hungry 🙈

Yeah they have the same active ingredients, just different brands.
