Do you feel guilty for killing small bugs?

Just curious what you guys think. My mom absolutely refuses to kill anything, whether it's a spider, a mosquito, a caterpillar, anything. I personally will just squish little bugs but I do feel guilty and like a bit of a hypocrite since all living things have a right to live. What do you guys think?
