Aubrey Madison born 2/23ππ
Finally my baby was born! My water broke around 3am on 2/22 at 41 weeks 5 days and she was born at 2:30am on 2/23. When she came out, the cord was wrapped around her neck twice and really tight, she wasn't breathing. The doctors took her right away and about 10 doctors and nurses rushed into the room- you never know what it's like to appreciate someone until they save your baby! After they got her breathing, they started suctioning a TON of mucus and fluid from her lungs, i thought it was never going to stop coming up. After she was stabalized, a NICU team from a hospital about an hour away showed up and took her. I held my baby for about 5 minutes before having to give her up, it was heartbreaking. She is now getting and cold cap treatment and we know she has some form of brain damage-just not sure the extent. She is extremely jittery when she is fussy-which is all the time because she can't eat during the treatment. The doctors say it could range anywhere from cerebral palsy, to motor delay, to no delay at all. I can't stop staring at her picture! My beautiful 8lb 10oz baby! ππ
